The SMG theatres have a bar and lounge area, and before and during movies, meals are served there or at the seats in the cinema.

SMG is regarded as the industry pioneer for in-theater dining exhibits. SMG was founded in 2000 and has quickly expanded to more than 21 locations throughout 7 states. Overall I would recommend this theater. The Dallas, Texas-based Studio Movie Grill, sometimes known as SMG, has revolutionized the classic movie-going experience by fusing first-run films with full-service, in-theater food. One thing I would like is if they had a few more appetizers & meals for diet conscious people. The "2 for $30" special is a pretty good deal, you get an appetizer and two entrees, and you can add a dessert for each of you for $5.00 more. One time we had to wait quite a while, half our party didn't get their food for a long while after the first half. And the service is good most of the time. The atmosphere and bar in the theater are nice. But overall, the seats are comfortable and roomy. Sitting in the regular seat, I felt like I was craning my neck up to watch the movie. So you only get to recline if you're willing to sit that close. One thing I cannot understand, is why they didn't make all the seats recliners? Mostly the recliners are just the first row or two. I actually like the food here better than Cineopolois in Westlake, and the whole thing is less expensive.

I enjoy being able to see a movie for a reasonable price, and be served some pretty good food at the same time. If they still have it, I particularly liked the warm spinach/artichoke dip.

I really like the Buffalo Chicken salad, although I had another salad (can't remember the name but it has beef in it) which I did not like at all. But I'm sure they make their $$ on food and drink.
